Office contents cover
You will be asked to give values of your office contents for office
contents insurance if required:
Office buildings
cover
If you are the owner of the property you may take out this cover.
You will be asked to provide the rebuilding costs of the premises.
Office Security
You will be asked certain questions about the security of your premises
such as whether you have alarms, sprinklers, cctv etc fitted. Depending
upon the size of your office these measures could help reduce the
size of your premium. You will be required to have minimum levels
of office security, this usually means but may vary by policy -
All external entry/exit doors must be fitted with at least five
lever mortice deadlocks & all accessible windows must be fitted
with key operated window locks.
In order to satisfy the security requirments of an insurer any alarm
must be installed and maintained by an approved NACOSS/SSAIB member
and must be in operation. If the alarm is not has not been correctly
installed and maintained then it will not qualify for insurance
security purposes. Smaller home offices may not require an alarm,
our application will inform you of the alarm conditions applicable.
Are the office premises occupied overnight by you or your employees?
You may receive a discount if they are. This is particularly applicable
to working from home offices.
No Claims Discount
How many years have you continuously been insured without any claims
or suffered any losses? A discount will only be applied if the period of continuous insurance
is immediately prior to this policy.
